While we’re still waiting for SEGA to lock down a release date for Yakuza 5, word has it you can pre-order it from today through PlayStation Network. The game will also come with all DLC released in Japan.
The DLC includes “Another Drama” which is a series of sub-plots focusing on each protagonist in-depth and are separate from the main story of the game.
There are also more mini-games available in Yakuza 5 than previous releases, such as playing Virtua Fighter 2 with your friends over PSN at CLUB SEGA. There’s also the rhythm mini-game Taiko no Tatsujin.
Sounds like there will be plenty to do.
Those who drop money early will receive a 15% discount off the $40 launch price as the “Fulfiller of Dreams” static theme seen below.
Above is the third and final video entry in the developer interview series featuring Yakuza series general director Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Masayoshi Yokoyama. In it, they discuss the game’s music, thoughts on the Western release and the game’s themes.
Yakuza 5 will launch in Europe and North America later this year.
