EA and Ghost Games have delayed the PC version of Need for Speed to 2016.
Need for Speed developer Ghost Games has announced that in order to meet fan expectations regarding the game’s PC port, that version of the game will not be making it out this year.
Spring 2016 is the new window, as the developer wants to make sure it gets the necessary development time to deliver a good port. Ghost gave the example of wanting to deliver on unlocked frame-rate, something most PC fans agree is the best way to play games.
PC-worthy visuals are also something the team is working on.
The studio said to expect the PC version to ship with all content updates that will have been released on PS4 and Xbox One.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions are still on track for the November 3 release date. In the coming weeks, EA will host a beta for the game, which you can sign up for now.
The beta is intended to test the server infrastructure.
