This Destiny: The Taken King chest glitch gives you 25 Hadium Flakes in five minutes

By Stephany Nunneley

This new Destiny: The Taken King video shows you how to take advantage of a chest glitch. If you do it properly, you can earn up to 25 Hadium Flakes within five minutes. Better hurry before Bungie patches it.

The glitch allows the player to collect the flakes almost infinitely, similar to the House of Wolves treasure key chest farm. In HoW, players would open the chest, hop on their Sparrow, drive out of the area, and then come back and open the chest again for more loot.

The same can be done with this Hadium Flake chest. In the Mausoleum there are two possible chests that spawn near the entrance to The Founts. If nobody else is in the area, you can run back and forth between zones opening it continuously.

According to Arekkz Gaming, here’s how you find the chest:

  • Once you spawn in the Hull Breach, run all the way under the engine, run over to the Mausoleum and cross over to the other side as if you were heading over to The Founts.
  • There is a small room off to the left, and this is where you want to go. The chest will spawn in the room or just outside of it. Once you open the chest in either location, run back to The Founts, come back, and open it again. The chest isn’t on a timer, so unlike the House of Wolves chest, this one will not despawn – unless someone else enters the area.
  • Other chests are located in the area, so you may need to find them first, loot them, and then go look for the proper chest when it spawns in the room or outside of it. Other players in the area moving around will cause the chest to despawn so it makes farming both situational and a bit tricky.

So, to recap, if no other players are in the area, you can farm and farm and farm until you get tired of doing it.

Enjoy collecting your Flakes, Guardians.
