LEGO Dimensions isn’t just a Skylanders rip-off, by the way.
Whereas other toys-to-life games offer pretty static lumps of plastic, LEGO Dimensions uses LEGO, which is already pretty fun on its own. Plus, during play you need to actively use the toys, shifting them about to solve puzzles and whatnot.
Matt’s having a great time playing it with his kids, but it’s not a cheap investment. If you’re considering picking it up for your family or just for yourself (no shame!), this trailer provides a pretty decent overview of what you’re getting into.
LEGO Dimensions is out now on PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
