Not even Back to the Future’s 30th anniversary is safe from the Rocket League fever. The game’s developer Psyonix has today announced the film’s classic DeLorean Time Machine is coming to Rocket League as a playable car.

“Truth be told, we used to fantasize and joke about having the DeLorean Time Machine in our game months before it even came out,” the developer says.

“We were all such huge Back to the Future fans here at Psyonix, that it was one of the few “Holy Grails” we had hoped for besides having a hit game. The fact that we’re getting both of those “best-case scenarios” in the same year is an amazing accomplishment for us, they’re things we’ll never forget!”

The in-game vehicle will maintain the look of the original, complete with folding hover wheels and comes with the “Burnt Rubber” trail. Best of all, it will be available October 21, priced $2.
