Three more modes for Star War: Battlefront were announced today by DICE.
One is the 6v6 mode Heroes vs Villains which contains “short, intense rounds” with famous Star Wars characters participating in dynamic fights. Matches are divided into rounds, with three players from each team randomly spawning in as either a Hero or Villain.
The rest of the team will spawn as Rebels or Imperial troopers. Once a Hero or Villain is defeated, that player will respawn as a regular trooper. The objective is to defeat all opposing Heroes or Villains or have the highest number of Hero or Villain characters alive at the end of the round.
There’s also Training Missions for both Imperial and Alliance and each can be played with a friend online or in split-screen co-op. The tutorials range from learning the basics to time trials. Here’s all five: Probe Droids, Beggar’s Canyon, Overpower, Invasion, Overpower, Endor Chase, and The Dark Side.
Details on the Training Missions can be found through the EA Blog.
The final mode detailed today was the 1v1 Battles and Hero Battles, both of which can be played online or through split-screen. Or solo with a team of AI. The 1v1 consisted of each player fighting alongside AI against each other. The goal is to collect points by picking up dropped tokens from defeated enemies and reach 100 points to win the match.
Hero Battles follows the same rules only players step into the shoes of the iconic Heroes and Villains included in the game.
Battles and Hero Battles can take place on all Star Wars Battlefront planets, but on Sullust and Hoth the map layouts are unique for the mode.
Star Wars: Battlefront releases on November 17 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. More information through the links.
