Valve has started removing SteamOS icons from Linux titles on Steam, reportedly due to required standards not being met or incompatibly issues.
According to Gaming on Linux, these games are no longer available for purchase at present, but if a Steam user already owns the game, they can still download and play it.
One of the games affected, StarMade, was removed due to a Java requirement. The developer said once the new launcher is released, the issue should be resolved.
Gaming on Linux pointed out Valve likely doesn’t want a game advertised has having SteamOS support when if an “outside launcher/installer such as Adobe Air, Flash or the like” is required to run the game’s interface.
The site spoke with other developers which had their games removed, and was told inquiries had been sent over to Valve.

Valve’s Steam Machines, Steam Link and Steam Controller release next month.
Thanks, MCV.
