Mike Bithell has announced a free expansion to Volume will be released next year for the launch of PlayStation VR.
Volume: Coda picks up after the events of the core game, putting players into the shoes of “The Troubleshooter” who has been brought in by the villains “hurt most by Locksley’s revolution.”
The content features 30 new levels, new voice actors lending their chops to new characters to the story, and a new VR setting.
Volume: Coda is a free expansion to Volume and players will be able to play both the expansion and Volume’s core campaign in VR. The relase also contains access to all user-generated levels and the curated Staff Picks section.
Also the PlayStation 4 version of Volume will be patched today in all regions with the Checkpoints Update which adds new modes and leaderboards for those who prefer stealth over speedruns.
The Checkpoints Update will also be included in the Vita version when it launched and as previously announced will support Cross-Buy.
Volume is also currently on sale for PlayStation 4 at 30% off until November 4.
