GameStop now taking pre-orders for Overwatch on consoles

Looks like Blizzard’s console announcement for Overwatch won’t be a surprise tomorrow during BlizzCon 2015.

GameStop is taking pre-orders for the online team-based shooter as of today.

Kotaku confirmed this with one of the stores in New York City.

We called our local store which confirmed it was taking pre-orders as of today.

While it’s generally assumed the game is free-to-play, GameStop has it listed for $59.99 on console and PC through retail. The F2P part of the equation could refer to the online aspect only. We expect to hear more details on it during Blizzard’s opening ceremony or at some other point during BlizzCon this weekend.

The game isn’t available for pre-order on GameStop’s website as of yet, but you can run down to your local store today and slap some money down.
