Mass Effect: Andromeda’s character creator is pretty detailed, if a bit reigned in.
Mass Effect: Andromeda, like every Mass Effect game before it, allows you to create your own character if you don’t feel like going with the default male and female options.
In Andromeda’s case, you get a choice of nine difference faces to start with, which you can then customise further. You have access to a number of hairstyles and skin colours, with the usual proportion adjustments.
Gamespot‘s video above takes a quick look at most of the available options and plays around with the creator for a bit and ends up with a pretty punk character. It looks like we’ll be somewhat limited in what we can do compared to say, Bloodborne’s character creator.
The video below from YouTube channel Skill Up is more comprehensive, and dives even deeper to show the character training options, which define your starting powers and skills. You can also input details about your previous Mass Effect adventures with Shepard into Andromeda in a dedicated part of the character creator.
Like the Gamespot video, this one also doesn’t feature any commentary.
Finally, we have this short video from YouTuber BioFan that only shows the hairstyles on offer. If you’re only looking to see what kind of hairdos will be waiting for you in Andromeda, this is the one to watch.
All videos do not include spoilers, obviously, so you’re safe.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is out starting March 21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. EA and Origin Access members can play the early access trial from March 16.
