Mass Effect: Andromeda has been patched to make the experience better for those waiting to jump in on day one.
Although Mass Effect: Andromeda has not yet officially launched, BioWare has already deployed a patch on PC to fix some of the most critical errors reported by many during the Origin Access trial.
Some of these problems were so pervasive, EA had to dedicate a support page to them. The reports mainly talked about black screen issues on startup, multiplayer sound bugs that make it hard to distinguish where enemies are coming from, and crashes for those running the Corsair Utility Engine on PC.
The patch, released today, was confirmed by game producer Fernando Melo. Melo took to Twitter to outlines some of the fixes the update contains. Thankfully, a lot of those known issues were covered.

As for the console version, patch 1.04 is also out now on PS4, with Xbox One to follow later today or tomorrow at most. Melo did not indicate exactly what fixes the patch has made, but it’s still good news.

Finally, Melo also revealed that BioWare is working on server-side fixes to address the issues of challenge progression, which prevent players from completing certain challenges.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is out tomorrow in the US, and March 23 in the rest of the world on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
