The big day has finally arrived: Torment: Tides of Numenera has been released, and you can find out what critics think of the long-awaited spiritual successor to Black Isle’s Planescape: Torment in our review scores round up.
Developed by inXile Entertainment, Torment: Tides of Numenera was funded through Kickstarter in 2013, and reached its target of $900,000 in just six hours. By the time the campaign ended, 74,405 backers pledged $4,188,927 to the game’s development through the service. It still holds the record for third most funded video game on Kickstarter.
The game received more funding through the official website after the campaign ended on the crowdfunding service, with over $5 million tossed at the title.
Torment: Tides of Numenera can be purchased through Steam and GOG, and digitally through the PlayStation and Xbox stores on PS4 and Xbox One, respectively.
Physical editions of the game are also available thanks to a publishing deal with Techland.
