The human city of Minas Ithil in Middle-earth: Shadow of War is the type of big urban environment we’ve not seen much of in the first game.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War has a new video that gives us a look at new gameplay footage. The human city of Minas Ithil is the subject of the trailer, which goes on to show its state in the game’s world.
We get treated to some light combat (via IGN) as Monolith’s Michael de Plater explores the world to reveal intel, before attacking him and getting tangled into a defence mission.
The gameplay appears to follow a similar structure to what we had in the first game, in that you gain information by dominating Orcs who then reveal persons of interest. In this case, it’s a captain that you can use Wraith Form to locate and identify his weakness.
We also learn that there’s going to be more allies this time around joining the quest, and some of them can be seen fighting side-by-side with Celebrimbor, and Talion.
If you’re looking for even more footage, perhaps 16 minutes of action will satisfy that need.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is out August 22 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
