Direct-feed footage of Destiny 2’s new PvP mode, Countdown.
The Crucible is seeing some major changes in Destiny 2. For starters, all modes have been trimmed down to be 4v4, to make the experience more focused.
Besides the slimmer player count, Destiny 2’s PvP will also benefit from the new weapon system, now that there’s a dedicated slot for Power weapons. During the reveal, Bungie introduced a brand new mode called Countdown. This is Destiny’s first attack-defend mode.
Countdown was playable at the reveal, and in the video above from YouTuber LevelCapGaming, we get to see a whole 27 minutes of raw, commentary-free action. The footage was captured from a PS4 Pro, the only console attendees were allowed to capture from.
There are several matches here, complete with the pre-game matchmaking screen and the post-game results. It all looks too familiar, despite it being a new mode on a new map.
