Mega indie publisher Devolver Digital announces first E3 conference, gets lots of “who?”-style replies

A lot of people are happy that Devolver Digital is hosting its first ever E3 conference, while others have no idea who that is.

Devolver Digital, the publisher responsible for many Indie hits, always has at least one very interesting game it wants to tell you about. For years, Devolver successfully set up a “booth” in a parking lot across the street from E3, but now, the publisher is joining the big league.

For the first time, Devolver will host its own E3 conference. No date or times have been revealed yet, but the company is keeping its spot at the parking lot opposite the LA Convention Center’s South Hall. The conference won’t be hosted there, though.

Devolver broke the news on Twitter, and proceeded to receive plenty of replies from Twitter users who have no idea who the publisher is. Some probably do, but they’re playing it up for comedic effect.

Nonetheless, it shows tremendous confidence in Devolver’s line-up that it’s actually hosting its own show. Of the games we know Devolver is publishing, I am looking forward to seeing more Ruiner, Ape Out, and few others.

E3 2017 takes place June 13-15.
