Your character in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will soon do a cool little animation every time they drink a boost.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds offers in-game health boosts in the form of energy drinks and painkillers. But, because the game is still in Early Access, a lot of the animations you’d normally see associated with these actions are missing.
You just get a countdown on the screen every time you activate any of the boosts, and the effect starts kicking in at the end of the countdown. Drinking animations, among other things, are in development, though, and developer Bluehole gave everyone an early look at one earlier.
The GIF shows a work-in-progress drinking animation for the energy drink. The character even nonchalantly tosses it to the side after they’re done, littering the area.

Although it’s still early in development, there are already arguments about whether or not throwing the can like that will get you spotted in the game. If it does indeed reveal your position, some argue it should be part of the risk of drinking mid-combat, while others feel it would be unnecessarily punitive.
The developers did not give any ETA for when we should expect to see this in game.
