Before Creative Assembly moves on from Total War: Warhammer, it’ll drop some extra content to keep you busy until the sequel’s release.
Total War: Warhammer developer Creative Assembly has confirmed that it still has at least one more content pack in development for the game.
In a blog post, the developer said that the next pack will indeed be called The Old Friend and will be tied to an event later this summer.
Expect something “along the lines of the Blood Knight Free-LC,” though it’s not necessarily going to be a new unit. It also definitely won’t be Kislev, as some speculated, but a new race has been confirmed.
“We’d been thinking about what sort of content could be added to the first game, and what that might be,” the blog post reads.
“We’ve hit on something we think is a pretty good opportunity to add some more content to the game, so there will be a new Race Pack released later in the year, before Warhammer 2 is released.”
Whatever this DLC is, it’s going to add some unique gameplay mechanics, Creative Assembly promised. Alongside the DLC, a free update will be released for the game.
