Destiny 2: this video recaps what you may have missed on the story, Vostok map, beta pre-loads, more

By Stephany Nunneley

Since there’s been so much Destiny 2 news for you this week, let’s have a quick round-up of all the important bits.

Plenty of Destiny 2 goodness dropped this week, featuring everything from beta pre-load times, story content, some of the Subclasses, and gameplay.

There’s so much Destiny 2 information out there, and the game doesn’t even release until September 6, you may become overwhelmed. We’re here to help, as always, so be sure to keep an eye on our guide hub.

To help you out even more, Arekkz has released a new video rounding up all the things. In it, he goes over the new Crucible map Vostok, which takes players back to Felwinter Peak, provides a quick refresh on the beta pre-load, story elements and discusses some gampelay elements you have have missed watching this week’s videos.

Arekkz also points out that a quick clip in yesterday’s gameplay video featuring the Sentinel Titan Subclass was for a Patrol event called Cabal Excavation.

As you see when the video zooms in at 5:56, players will be tasked with overriding the Mining Lander.

Of course, all of what you’ve been presented with this week can be played in the Destiny 2 beta next week. The opening mission Homecoming from the campaign will provide testers with part of the storyline; Control and Countdown will be playable on Crucible map Vostok; a Strike call The Inverted Spire will be available to try, and the Dawnblade Warlock, Arcstrider Hunter, and Sentinel Titan Subclasses will be ready to give a go.

And, as we’ve mentioned before when reminding you about the beta and its contents, for one hour – and one hour only – on Sunday, July 23, a stress test for The Farm will be held. Bungie wants to see how many players the new social space can accommodate at once.

Destiny 2 will be made available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
