Dragon Quest 11 has finally been confirmed for release in the west.

Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age will arrive on shores other than Japan in 2018.

In the game, hero is trying to discover the mystery of his fate along with a cast of supporting characters.

In the video below, series creator Yuji Horii introduces a quick overview of the game as well as an update on the game’s localization process. It sounds rather time consuming as it will be made available in five languages next year.

Dragon Quest 11 was announced in 2015 for 3DS, PlayStation 4 and Switch, was known as Nintendo NX at the time.

While platforms for the western release weren’t announced, we’re expecting it on all three platforms – at present. Since the game isn’t slated until release in 2018, platforms haven’t been confirmed, but, more details on the western release will be shared in the fall, according to Square Enix.

Dragon Quest 11 will release in Japan tomorrow, July 29 on 3DS and PlayStation 4.
