Destiny 2 launches with a host of new PvP Crucible maps set on all four of the new locations.
Endless Vale is one of those maps. Set on Nessus, the map is the one featured in today’s footage drops showing the Sentinel and Voidwalker subclasses, as well as the one featuring commentary from Bungie about the massive Control changes in Destiny 2.
Also part of IGN First, this video is dedicated entirely to the map itself, and environment artist Coolie Calihan is on hand to explain a few of the design goals that went into creating it.
Endless Vale is among the smaller maps and features some of the world designs you’ll see on Nessus in the main game, such as the distinct green and red colours, as well as the Vex machinery throughout the landscape.
Much like other Crucible maps, you’ll see a Power Ammo dispenser near the spawns for both teams. The video shows some of the flanking routes in Endless Vale and the places where Bungie believes most of the action will take place.
Endless Vale will be among the beta’s PvP maps. The Destiny 2 beta starts on July 18, first on PS4 for those with pre-orders. It’ll open up to all (except on PC) on July 21.
