Destiny 2 trailer wants to remind you about the PC beta and 4K, uncapped framerate support

A video for Destiny 2 has been released, and hopefully it will get PC players excited to try the beta two weeks from now.

Destiny 2 will be available for PC on October 24, but before then, folks can jump into the early access or open beta starting Monday, August 28.

The PC version, as previously reported, features an uncapped framerate which can be fiddled with, and is playable in 4K.

This is what the video you see below highlights, and if you’re a Chrome user and have the technology, you can watch the video in lovely 4K instead of 240p like some of us (cry).

Participants in the beta can play through the Homecoming story mission, a co-op Strike, and competitive multiplayer.

Last week, Bungie outlined changes made to the Destiny 2 since the console beta.

Changes were made to Crucible matchmaking in Quickplay and Competitive and also, the winning score in Control will be extended from 75 to 100.

Since the console beta, improvements to calculating skill in Countdown were made, glitches were fixed and tweaks were applied.

The Destiny 2 PC beta will go live on August 28 for those who pre-ordered and will open up to everyone else on PC come August 29. All participants can play around in it until August 31.

It’s likely Bungie will extend the beta but we won’t whether or not this will be be the case until it happens.

Destiny 2 will be released on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One. It will arrive on PC October 24.
