Characters for Fighter Pack 2 were announced today at gamescom 2017 and will be made available for Injustice 2 starting around mid-September.
The three fighters included in the upcoming Injustice 2 fighter pack are Black Manta, Hellboy and Raiden. You noticed that in the headline though didn’t you?
Players who purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, the Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack, or the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2 will have early access to each of the three new fighters before they are made available a la carte.
It will be me made available for purchase beginning September 12 and the first character will be available for early access on that day. Going by the trailer, it appears Black Manta will be the first release, as a gameplay reveal is set for Sunday, August 27 at 4pn PT, 7pm ET, 12am UK. Ignore the May 27 date shown at the end. It’s obviously a typo.
As previously reported, the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Pack include nine playable characters, three Premiere Skins, and two new Gear Shaders.
Those who have already purchased the standard edition of the game can grab the content included in the Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack for $39.99.
Once all characters in Fighter Pack 2 are released, the remaining three fighters will arrive in the third pack, bringing the post-release character roster to nine.
Fighter Pack 1 characters were Red Hood, Sub-Zero and Starfire which were released in June, July and August, respectively.
Going by the pattern, we can expect the Injustice 2 characters in Fighter Pack 2 to be released in September, October and November – unless something changes.
Injustice 2 was released on May 16 for PS4 and Xbox One.
