Space battles in Star Wars Battlefront 2 look rather cool.
EA and DICE have released a new Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer which gives you a look at some of the maps and space battles located in various areas of the game.
The fist part shows battle in the Unknown Regions, with a Resurgence Star Destroyer getting shot up before a fly through of the Death Star debris above the forest moon of Endor is shown.
Next, we get a look at Fondor, a planet located in the Colonies region of the galaxy which is now a manufacturing center for the Empire featuring large shipyards. This Imperial Shipyard map will be available in the upcoming beta, alongside the Assault on Theed.
Then, the Lucrehulk-class Battleship is shown in the next scene. Here, the battle is taking place above the planet Ryloth located in the Outer Rim Territories. The Lucrehulk is the main capital ship of the Trade Federation’s Trade Defense Force.
After a quick look at Darth Maul flying his own ship, the video takes us to the research outpost on the aquatic planet Kamino. Here is where the creation of a clone army for the Galactic Republic took place. There’s a quick look at Yoda flying around as well.
This is the first look we’ve had at space combat in Star Wars Battlefront 2, which EA promised last week would be shown during gamescom. The show kicks off next week, so we expect to hear and see more on the Starfighter Assault space mode at that time.
EA will host a livestream on Monday, August 21 at 9:30am PT, 12:30pm ET, 5pm BST, 6pm CEST. You’ll be able to view it on EA’s official site.
Those who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront 2 will gain early access to the multiplayer beta slated for fall. It will also provide customers with instant access to Yoda’s Lightsaber Mastery and The Last Jedi Heroes Pack.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be released on November 17 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
