Watch the hectic Need for Speed Payback gameplay trailer from gamescom 2017

EA brought out a car on stage at gamescom 2017 for Need for Speed Payback, but we also got to watch some new action-heavy footage.

The video is short, and follows the same style established in the E3 2017 reveal, with quick cuts and not a lot to chew on. Regardless, it still looks good.

We also get to see three new tactics the police will be be utilising to hunt down players. These are helicopters, kill switches, and a new vehicle called the rhino. The rhino is a heavily armoured vehicle that’s probably designed to ram you.

Kill switches do exactly as you’d expect; turning off electronic devices in the car, which includes the engine and other integral parts. The video also shows kill switches killing radio chatter between the protagonist and other characters, though we’re not sure what effect this will have on gameplay.

As you can see, the action speaks for itself, even if we’d prefer to see more uncut gameplay.

Need for Speed Payback is out November 10 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
