For a while now, developers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have been teasing us with some in-development player animations.
Today, with the release of the fourth monthly patch, they brought a few of those to the live game. These are not the mantling and climbing animations, rather the drinking and healing ones.
Those were actually revealed a long while ago, but we can appreciate them better as they blend in with everything else.
In the video below from YouTube channel vESP Gaming, we get to see the current form of the animations for using bandages, first aid kits, and drinking boosts.
They look very fluid and don’t add extra time to any of the functions. It’s a bit weird to see the first aid kit animation simply be that of injecting a syringe, though, seeing as there’s already an adrenaline shot in the game.
We’re definitely more excited now for the much more complex animations of mantling up and vaulting over walls and fences. Those will take a while to finish, though, as creator Brendan Greene previously indicated.
