We Happy Few is coming to retail and PS4 next spring with Gearbox as publisher

Gearbox Publishing announced today it’s bringing Compulsion Games’ We Happy Few to retail. But, you’ll have to wait until next year to play it.

We Happy Few, the first-person, action-adventure, survival-horror game from Compulsion Games was originally announced for PC and Xbox One. It has been in early access on Steam, Humble and GOG since last year as well as through Xbox One Game Preview.

The game was announced in 2015 and was a successful Kickstarter project before heading into Early Access.

We Happy Few will be released fully on the aforementioned platforms and PS4 digitally, and as previously stated, Gearbox will publish the retail version.

Last week it was revealed the expanded version of the title will see a price increase from $30 to $51, and this goes into effect today. However, since it will retail for $60, it will remain 15% off at $51 until that time.

It’s also worth noting the Life in Technicolor update was also released today.

We Happy Few will also feature a Season Pass with more details to be announced at a later date. Work on DLC will start once the main game is released. The core game will be much larger than originally planned, and the DLC will be extra content for those who wish to spend more time in the game’s universe.

The game will release on the aforementioned platforms April 13, 2018 with Mac and Linux versions arriving on or shortly after that date.
