Prepare your wallet if you want a pair, mind.
Capcom keeps announcing lots of small things to celebrate the 30th anniversary – and the latest special celebratory tie-in is in the world of fashion with this new tie-in with fashion manufacturer Diesel.
Diesel has designed a series of Street Fighter 5-themed pairs of sneakers. There’s options themed after Ryu, M. Bison, Birdie, Chun-Li and Charlie Nash – with my particular favourite the blue-and-yellow Chun-Li themed kicks. They look pretty good!

They’re up on the Diesel website now, but the price looks a little less hot – each pair of these Street Fighter-themed pairs costs a whopping $200 – which, y’know, while they might be Diesel, that’s still pretty damn expensive. They don’t seem to ship outside North America either, which, er, is probably for the best for the sake of my wallet.
There’s a lot of Street Fighter stuff going on for the series’ 30th. Street Fighter 5 rages on and just got awesome new character Menat – and one more character remains. There may be more to come as well – retailers have posted mysterious listings for both a Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition and a Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, both of which haven’t been officially announced. The Capcom Pro Tour eSports grand finals for SF5 will take place at PlayStation Experience in December.
