EA has unveiled its Star Wars Battlefront 2 system requirements in advance of the open beta.
Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Electronic Arts announced Star Wars Battlefront 2, and fans have been gunning to try it out for themselves since. The good news is you’ll be able to do so this October when the open beta launches, but PC players will want to make sure their systems are up to snuff.
In a recently-revealed open beta info page, Electronic Arts revealed the beta’s system requirements alongside how players could obtain access. Naturally, console players won’t have to worry about these details, but they do suggest the PC experience should look gorgeous at least be freaking gorgeous. Now we just need to find out whether the rumored beta content details are accurate.
Minimum PC System requirements:
- OS: 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
- Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350
- Processor (Intel): Intel Core i5 6600K
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
- DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
- Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
- Hard-drive space: 15GB
Recommended PC System requirements:

- Processor (AMD): AMD FX 8350 Wraith
- Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 6700 or equivalent
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ RX 480 4GB
- Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 3GB
- DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
- Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
- Hard-drive space: 15GB
The open beta stars on October 6th and runs until October 9th. If you’ve preordered Star Wars Battlefront 2 for PC, PS4, or Xbox One by September 30th, beta access will begin two days earlier.
