Destiny 2 Xur update: should you buy Vigilance Wing?

By Matt Martin

As regular as your old nan, Xur is back in Destiny 2 with goods to sell.

This week Xur is selling all the helmets and a nice looking exotic pulse rifle called Vigilance Wing. But here’s the rub; should you buy it if you mainly play solo?

Let’s take a look in detail; going over the basics it has good range and stability and appears to be a decent all-rounder.

More important though are the perks and mods for Vigilance Wing. The Harsh Truth perk is the biggie here, whereby if a nearby ally is killed your own health regenerates quicker and your movement speed is increased. Hey, every downer has a plus side, yeah? You also get better performance from Vigilance Wing when you’re the last man standing in a Fireteam.

Apart from faster reloads when the mag is empty (so pull that trigger until it’s dry), that’s about it of note.

So basically, Vigilance Wing is good for team players, and a good pulse rifle for when you’re playing Destiny 2 in a group.

What’s also of note this week is that Xur is selling An Insurmountable Skullfort for Titan class players. This helmet, combined with the Code of the Earthstriker subclass, allows you to have unlimited shoulder charges while also refilling your grenade much quicker. Holy moly.

The video above form Arekkz gives you the full lowdown on that.
