Hunt: Showdown will hit Steam Early Access soon, and the latest trailer shows a smidgen of what to expect.
The competitive first-person PvP bounty hunting from Crytek is headed to Early Access on Steam, an exact date when users can expect Hunt: Showdown to go live hasn’t been announced. Just “coming soon.”
Earlier this week, a new look at pre-alpha gameplay was shown, and unlike the previous video which was rather swampy, this one featured different area of the map.
In Hunt: Showdown, there are four teams of two after a bounty, with the match lasting between 20-40 minutes. Not only will players have to contend with other humans, there are plenty of monsters lurking in the Louisiana swamp.
Each are just itching to mangle or eat the player. We assume both.
Announced back in June 2014 by Crytek USA as Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, the title underwent a name and development chance. Originally a four-player co-op action shooter, Hunt: Showdown is now a PvP game with heavy PvE elements.
Hunt: Showdown will be released for PC through Steam Early Access this fall.
