Two trailers showing new content in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon and Ultra Beasts were released by Nintendo today.
One of these Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon trailers introduce new Ultra Beasts, and the ability to travel through Ultra Wormholes to explore worlds beyond Alola.
These Ultra Wormholes were seen as strange pockets of space which would mysteriously appear throughout the Alola region. In the Ultra versions of the game, these wormholes return and players can ride on the Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo and Lunala to travel through them.
Players can visit many different worlds via these Ultra Wormholes including Ultra Megalopolis, where the Pokemon Necrozma has stolen the light.
Necrozma is the main subject of the story in Ultra Sun and Moon, and secrets regarding the creature and the Alola region not disclosed in Pokemon Sun and Moon will be revealed.
As previously reported, Necrozma can take over Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo or Lunala. These forms of Necrozma are called Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma.
Ultra Beasts can be battled on their “home turf,” in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon, and three of these creatures are show in the English video.
UB Adhesive is one of the new Ultra Beasts, and according to the trailer, it’s a Poison-Type. Another Ultra Beast introduced was UB Burst (Pokemon Sun), a Fire/Ghost-Type which can use the new move Mind Blown. UB Assembly (Pokmeon Moon) is a Rock/Steel-Type was the final Ultra Beast shown. All have the ability Beast Boost.
In the game, players will also come into contact with the Ultra Recon Squad. Members include Dulse, Zossie, Phyco, and Soliera.
The Ultra Recon Squad is described as a “strange group that have come from a world that lives beyond an Ultra Wormhole.”
Players will see the story told from different perspective in each version of the game, with Dulse and Zossie playing a central role in Ultra Sun and Soliera and Phyco taking that role in Ultra Moon. The Ultra Recon Squad bring with them the Ultra Beast UB Adhesive.
The Japanese video for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon below is much different than the English trailer released. It’s more action oriented and dramatic for Pokemon trailer. Then again, it’s all about Necrozma stealing light from that particular world.
Once The Pokemon Company or Nintendo release it in English, we’ll replace the video.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon will release on 3DS November 17 and a special Dual Edition will also be available.
More than 400 Pokemon will be discoverable, many not available in Pokemon Sun and Moon, and new gameplay features such as Mantine Surf allow players to surf as a sport, and travel between the islands of Alola.
Ultra Sun and Moon will also feature Photo Club and will support Global Link.
