This Fast and Furious Rocket League DLC thankfully lets you travel more than a quarter mile at a time

Rocket League’s had the Batmobile; it’s had the time-travelling DeLorean; and now, it’s going to have Dom Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger too.

The Fast and the Furious film series, in which an increasingly diverse cast of stars race cars fast, then occasionally get out of the cars to be furious at one another, has become enormously successful. The latest entry in the series, The Fate of the Furious (the eighth one – fate as in ‘f-eight’), came out earlier this year.

Now Rocket League’s getting in on the action with this upcoming Fast and Furious DLC, which will bring two of the series’ iconic vehicles into the fray.

The 1970 Dodge Charger is the most iconic car from the series, popping up in the first film with a whole backstory. It’s Dom’s car, so you can imagine Vin Diesel’s gravely voice calling your teammates his ‘family’ every time you score a goal.

The other cars, the Nissan Skyline GT-R and the Dodge Charger R/T, aren’t quite as iconic, but both pop up throughout the film series as well. If you’re a big fan of the series (and if you’re not, give Fast 5 through Furious 7 a look), you might want to add these to your collection.

Rocket League also recently released its Autumn update, so even if you didn’t tear up a bit at the ending of Furious 7 it’s still worth jumping back in.

Rocket League is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, while a Switch version is due before the end of the year.
