You can play as Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy in Monster Hunter World, PS4 exclusive beta announced

One of the surprises at today’s PlayStation Paris Games Week showcase, was a new trailer for Monster Hunter World.

Not just because we went in expecting more exclusive games, but also because of a tiny singer at the end. The trailer is good and all, but it’s the ending we’re here to talk about.

Right at the end, you can see Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn as a playable character, complete with a mechanised companion. This is done through an exclusive amour set, for both the main character and the Palico which completely transform the look, exclusively on PS4. This isn’t just a character model, either, as Capcom confirmed that Aloy’s bow will also be in the game.

PlayStation players get another exclusive, too. From December 9-12, Capcom will be hosting a beta exclusively for PlayStation Plus members. In the beta, you’ll be going against three monsters: the Great Jagras, the Barroth, and the Anjanath.

Monster Hunter World is out January 26 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
