Battlefield 1: Turning Tides content will arrive for Premium Pass owners in mid-December.

EA has announced the first wave of Turning Tides content will release for Battlefield 1 on December 11 for those who own the Premium Pass.

The date was accidentally posted to the official website over the weekend, but today’s news confirms it at any rate.

As previously reported numerous times, Turning Tides is a land, air and sea expansion, and the first content drop will occur on the aforementioned date.

Players will be able to fight across a two maps: Cape Helles and Achi Baba. In a new Operation set on these maps, players can take part in the 1915 British amphibious assault of the Gallipoli peninsula.

There will be a new Infiltrator Elite Class, six weapons and two melee weapons and the L-Class Destroyer.

The second wave, coming in January 2018, puts players in the North Sea with the remaining maps: Zeebrugge and Heligoland Blight. Players will take on the role of the Royal Marines and spawn on the C-Class Airship.

Additionally, EA provided more information on updates coming to Battlefield 1:

  • They Shall Not Pass and In the Name of the Tsar free trials: Available between November 22 – December 4 and December 8-10. Players can log in to Battlefield 1 on these dates to fight with (or against) the French and Russian Armies and sample new maps, weapons, and vehicles.
  • Frontlines Mode: Coming to the Suez map on November 27. Frontlines is a mix of Conquest and Rush and has you fighting for chained control points.
  • Fall of Empires Operation Campaign: Will be available for all Battlefield 1 owners November 22 – December 6. Fall of Empires combines two Operations: Conquer Hell and Iron Walls. These are in turn inspired by two 1918 events: the battle of Vittorio Veneto and the Meuse-Argonne offensive on the Western Front.
