When does Black Friday & Cyber Monday start?

As previously mentioned, Black Friday falls on November 24th this year, with Cyber Monday deals kicking in a few days later on November 27. What’s Cyber Monday? That’ll be the sales event that happens the week after Black Friday. Originally, it was set to be the online counterpart to the retail-only Black Friday but over the years, the lines have blurred. What you can expect out of Cyber Monday is another week filled with savings, most of which were kept out of Black Friday events, meaning it’ll be a set of fresh offers.

That said, more and more retailers over the past few years have started discounting their stock on the Friday a week before, so it’s likely that we’ll see some great deals starting Friday 17 November. Keep checking in as we get closer to the big day for your best chance to grab a bargain. As we learned last year, though, there may even be retailers who push things even further back. Once we’re into November, stay vigilant and keep your eyes peeled. Alternatively, just come back here since we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled so you don’t have to.

For Nintendo’s offerings this year, you can expect to see some big discounts on the likes of the Nintendo 2DS XL as well as the various models of New Nintendo 3DS, with prices expected to drop by at least £30 each. The Nintendo Switch is unlikely to be discounted this year due to Nintendo still struggling to meet stock demands. You will, however, see retailers scrambling to add more and more games into Switch bundles in order to entice you into buying. This is a fantastic chance to grab a bargain of a bundle, as this situation usually means getting more than one game thrown in for free. Be prepared to spend up to £330 to get some truly great value bundles, most likely with titles like Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition featured.

Nintendo has even gone out of its way this year and is celebrating Black Friday with the release of two new products. A ‘Link Green’ 2DS console and the ‘Explorer’s Edition’ of Breath of the Wild for Switch. Both of those are releasing Thursday, 23rd November.

With this being the first Black Friday since the launch of the Nintendo Switch, it will be a real chance for Nintendo to dominate the holiday season in terms of sales. Nintendo is likely to capitalise on this will some key bundle offers on the console itself, possibly through its official Nintendo Store in the UK. Expect to see Zelda: Breath of the Wild see its first major discount, albeit temporarily, as the company will want to promote its flagship adventure game to new Switch owners.

In the meantime, we’ve gathered up our top picks for the best Black Friday bundles and game deals, just in case you want to pick up a discount right now.
