If you’re yet to see what all the fuss is about with Destiny 2, you’ll be able to test it out on your platform of choice from today.
Destiny 2 is a huge game – it had a massive first week of sales, and managed 1.2 million concurrent players in this period.
But, evidently, Bungie wants it to be even bigger – the game is getting a free trial from today that will let players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC have a shot at the game’s campaign and Crucible multiplayer.

According to Destiny 2’s website, the free trial will give you access to two worlds – the European Dead Zone and the moon of Titan. You’ll be able to play through some of the game’s opening campaign missions, as well as the competitive Crucible multiplayer. It’s not clear if the Crucible will be on a separate playlist, but we know that all progress you make – every level gained and piece of gear you unlock – will carry over into the full game if you choose to purchase it.
In our massive Destiny 2 guide, we’ve covered all the different classes and powers you can play around with, which will be helpful even in the game’s early stages. If you’re jumping in on the trial, feel free to check it out.
The free trial client will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Battlenet at some point tomorrow.
