The latest Destiny 2 patch on PC seems to have caused some issues for PC players.
Hotfix 1.0.6.1 went live yesterday for Destiny 2’s new PC version. It has two stated goals: to fix an issue where Clan rosters were not showing properly, and to fix an issue causing gradual performance degradation over time.
Now that the patch is out, though, some players are finding that they are experiencing frame rate issues, which is one of the few things our huge Destiny 2 guide cannot help with. This is unfortunate, but know that if you’re suddenly running into issues post-patch you’re not alone, and you might not need to run out and replace all the parts inside your PC just yet.
Bungie has promised, via their ‘help’ Twitter account, that they are ‘actively investigating’ the issue.
We are actively investigating reports of Destiny 2 PC frame rate stuttering after accepting Hotfix 1.0.6.1.

Pleasant side-note – most of the tweets responding to this one so far seem to be people telling Bungie to take their time and congratulating them on releasing such a well-optimised PC version, which is lovely to see.
If you’re encountering other issues, we have a list of all known error codes for Destiny 2, which is worth bookmarking in case any of them pop up in the future.
Destiny 2 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
