Battlefield 1’s “They Shall Not Pass” and “In the Name of the Tsar” are currently playable for free.
There has been a metric ton of gaming news to follow lately, from expansion launches to the countless Black Friday deals. One detail you probably shouldn’t miss, however, is that Battlefield 1’s current expansions are free-to-play for the next two weeks.
“They Shall Not Pass” and “In the Name of the Tsar” – which cover the French and Russian campaigns in Battlefield 1 – are currently treated as free trials which any customer can enjoy. Not only does it promote the classic content, it also advertises the fact that a brand-new expansion is arriving next month.

The current free trial ends on December 4th, and will be follow by a second trial wave lasting from December 8th to 10th. Meanwhile, the Turning Tides DLC will hit Battlefield 1 on December 11. If you enjoyed Battlefield 1, but were hesitating on the Premium Pass, this is a great way to try the extra content.
And if you already own the expansions, get ready for an influx of new players arriving soon.
