Hark! The Autumn Steam sale has arrived!
We all figured the Steam Autumn sale was arriving today, but as always, it’s still a little exciting when it finally pulls into view. Just a few days before Black Friday, Valve has kicked off its grand tradition of slashing prices across its entire PC gaming library until November 28th. Meanwhile, players are left wondering if they can afford to stick a few more games in their backlog. (Usually, the answer is yes.)
If you’ve followed recent Steam sales, you already know the drill: the deals will be active all through the sale, so you don’t need to check back in constantly. The full list is absolutely whopping, but we’ve already picked out some of the best Black friday Steam sale deals for you, if you fancy it.
Steam itself will highlight a different set of deals on its main page. Today, the main focus is The Long Dark, the “quiet post-apocalypse” survival game where wolves are far more dangerous than any zombie you can imagine.
This sale does have a bit of a twist, though. Valve is using this opportunity to kick off its Second Annual Steam Award Nominations, and has unveiled the following categories for players to vote on.
- The World Is Grim Enough Let’s Just All Get Along
- Choose Your Own Adventure
- Haunts My Dreams
- Mom’s Spaghetti
- No Apologies
- Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War
- Suspension of Disbelief
- Soul Of Vitruvius
- Defies Description
- Labor of Love
- Whoooaaaaaaa, Dude! 2.0
- Even Better Than I Expected
- The “Write-In” Award
What are you planning to pick up this year?
