Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris Perfect Paradox shotgun Legends Lost Weapon Quest not so secret after all – here’s how to get it

By Brenna Hillier

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris players can now obtain the Perfect Paradox shotgun and visit a very cool location along the way.

The Perfect Paradox Shotgun is available as part of this week’s Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris Lost Prophecy Verses, in the form of the Legends Lost Weapon Quest. As part of our Destiny 2 guide, we’ll provide the lowdown on how to get it.

Since the Verse attached to the Perfect Paradox shotgun is an additional 11th Verse rather than the ten numbered ones advertised in-game, we had expected it to pop up after all the others had their turns in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris. Apparently not: it’s the second Verse you’ll receive from Brother Vance this week.

In the future, you’ll probably have to wait for appropriate Verse to crop up in Brother Vance’s random weekly selection again, so make sure to complete every Lost Prophecy Verse, every week, if you’re chasing this one down the track a bit.

Anyway, below you’ll find what you need to do to get the Perfect Paradox shotgun in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris this week, in both text and video form.

  • Unlock the Lost Prophecy Weapons Forge in Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris if you haven’t already.
  • Complete the first Verse Brother Vance offers this week (Verse 10, the sword).
  • Accept the second Verse Brother Vance offers this week (Another Verse).
  • Return to Brother Vance.
  • Complete the Signal Light mission on Mercury (look for the blue crown Legends Lost Weapons Quest icon).
  • Collect the necessary materials:
  • Activate the materials in the Verse item and return to Brother Vance.
  • Complete the Not Even the Darkness mission on Mercury.
  • Return to Brother Vance.
  • Craft the weapon at the Lost Prophecy Weapon Forge.

The Perfect Paradox shotgun Legends Lost Weapon Quest does differ slightly from other Lost Prophecy Verses, but not by very much, which is a bit disappointing.

We’re still hopeful the suggestive lore means the Perfect Paradox shotgun will eventually become an Exotic Weapon Quest, as three of the four Weapon Quests in vanilla Destiny 2 did, but right now that’s not the case. Maybe it’ll be a timed affair, like some of D1’s best Weapon Quests?
