Anyone who's ever watched an anime knows that most Japanese business are dedicated to selling ancient swords to fight demons, or selling hot school girl outfits that are imbued with magic that gives them the power to breathe in outer space so they can fight a shapeless evil bent on destroying all life. But there are a few other businesses in Japan, just about as unique as the above mentioned, and these are they:
Cat Hanging Out With Cafes
It's exactly what it sounds like. Japanese people come here and hang out with like 50 cats and feed them pellets and sh*t. The most amazing part is that the cats in cat cafes are taught the Japanese languages, and some of the cats are able to speak up to 190 words in Japanese including, "Hello," "Many Thanks," and, "Are you going to act like this all night?"
Monkey Waiters That Serve Booze
A Sake House in Japanese has macaque monkeys that wait on customers. The craziest thing we have serve us in the United States are busty girls trying to pay their way through college without getting burned too much by hot wing grease.
X-Rated Coffee Shops
For a mere thirty dollars you can get a cup of coffee at this coffee shop. What does this coffee come with? Sugar? yes. cinamon? Sure, if you're feeling adventurous. But it also comes with a Japanese sex worker who walks out of the back and washes your genitals before servicing them. Remember that the next time you're at Starbucks and you think it's a big deal that they've got a CD with an exclusive Aimee Mann song on it.
The Meguro Parasite Museum
Are you tired of not seeing rows and rows of parasites? Then we've got the museum for you! "Honey, what museum would you like to go to tonight?" "I dunno, I'm tired of the natural history museum" "OK, what about a museum where you can stare for as long as you want at a tapeworm that could slowly kill a humpback whale?"
"...It's like you know my soul."
"Let's get married."
"I was thinking the same thing."
WAR WORLD
This theme park in Gifu Prefecture recreates the Battle of Sekigahara, a huge engagement that began the more than 250 year rule of the Tokugawa family in Japan, using life-size dayglow colored concrete statues depicting gory executions and ritual suicides. They were going to add a teacup ride, but they didn't have any room for it after they finished adding all the ritual suicide statues.
