Global game hosting service Multiplay and the UK’s Special Effect charity are teaming up to raise money for gamers with disabilities throughout the year. The first of its social meet-ups has taken place, but you can still get involved and do your bit going forward.
The first Multiplay Effect event took place over the weekend and despite being a small one to announce the partnership between Multiplay and Special Effect, attendees raised £242.68 for the charity, which aims to improve the quality of life for disabled people through gaming.
Here’s Multiplay CEO Wizzo’s speech from the debut meet-up:
The funding hasn’t stopped over at The Multiplay Effect charity page however, with the total now at £497.35. You can also donate through the link.
You can check out the work Special Effect does over at its site, and be sure to keep an eye out for them at all Multiplay events this year, including the upcoming Insomia48. We’ll have more on i48 as it happens.
