The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the third game in the series, which started off on PC. The game takes protagonist Geralt of Rivia on a quest to track down Ciri, the Child of Prophecy. Ciri will even play a much bigger role later on. In parts of the game you’ll get to control her, a first for the series.

The game’s open world is incredibly vast, larger than any other game, and with no loading screens. The graphical fidelity shows very well in all trailers, regardless of your console of choice. In the eight weeks following launch, the game will receive 16 pieces of small DLC packs, free to all.

If this is your first Witcher game, this video will help you settle in.

CD Projekt made the conscious decision of sending out review copies early. However, The Witcher 3 is a huge game, and some outlets may still need a bit more time, so don’t be surprised if some elect to withhold their scores.
