Destiny players finally manage to get into Atheon’s throne room in Vault of Glass raid after 2 years of research
It took this group of Destiny players two years to achieve their goal of reaching the Atheon throne room in the Vault of Glass raid from patrol.
There’s a subset of Destiny players who are obsessed with tracking down the game’s many secrets, glitching their way into places they’re not supposed to go, and revealing locations most of us never knew existed.
They have a dedicated sub-Reddit, and their latest findings took two years of careful research. The goal was to get into Atheon’s throne room in the Vault of Glass raid, just to see what’s in there.
The group leader Djxyz0, who posted a chronicle of his journey in the video above, managed to do this by starting out patrolling Venus. After using a known trick to glitch his way into where the raid takes place, he was on his way to the Trial of Kabr.
From there, the journey of navigating the void began. I won’t spoil how he gets there for you, but it’s fascinating to see him reach the throne room in the end. This becomes even more interesting when you consider he’s on a very hazardous path that’s not meant to be seen or accessed by players.
To think how many hours of trial and error and gaming Destiny’s mechanics it must have taken to get there.
