The ban hammer continues to fall on PUBG cheaters.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds uses the BattlEye anti-cheat system, and according to the service over 322,000 cheaters have been banned since PUBG launched in March.
BattlEye said the 322,000 figure is twice what was reported in September when the game’s creative director Brendan Greene stated over 150,000 PUBG players had been banned. Greene said at the time 8,000 of those bans occurred in a 24-hour period between September 13-14.
Yesterday when BattlEye released the latest ban count, it said there were 6,000 – 13,000 bans occurring each day. Close to 20,000 were banned within a 24-hour period, the majority of which were in China. The region along with Korea account for half of all players, according to SteamSpy.
We are currently banning at a rate of 6K-13K per day, nearly 20K within the last 24 hours alone. The vast majority is from China.

During the first three months of availability, PUBG was purging cheaters on a daily basis, and by the end of June over 25,000 accounts had been hammered.
Given the popularity of PUBG, bans are definitely a full-time job for many, especially considering Battlegrounds has now sold over 15 million copies on Steam. The game is still on track for a holiday release on Xbox One, so expect the sales figure to jump massively.
Earlier this week the game had over 2 million concurrent users, and in the last 24 hours PUBG had 2,279,084 concurrent users. It’s current today as of press time, October 14, stands at 2,291,190.
BattlEye said it will continue to work relentlessly on banning cheaters.
